Marcus Morris and Tillie Wang
Hosted by Marcus Morris (artist and curator based in Columbus, Ohio) and Tillie Wang (Post-Baccalaureate Fellow in Museum Practices and Arts Administration and curator of the exhibition Milton and Ann Rogovin: A Labor of Love currently on view at The Gund), this workshop invites participants to explore the art of building narratives through images. Together, we will examine how sequences of images create meaning, rhythm, and cadence, and how curatorial choices shape the stories that emerge. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises—arranging and re-arranging images to consider shifts in tone, emphasis, and interpretation—while reflecting on broader questions of storytelling in visual culture.
This session is designed for anyone interested in the curatorial process, from students and emerging practitioners to those simply curious about how images speak to one another across time and space.
Participants are encouraged to bring images to contribute to the workshop.
