Kenyon student and dancer Ashley Sanchez presents a workshop on local water issues, such as flooding, stream levels, and water quality. The workshop will include a demonstration of how science and dance can work together to spark conversations. Sanchez will guide participants in short sections of movement, and there will also be opportunities to create movement in order to facilitate an embodied understanding and sense of community. Workshops will be appropriate for all ages and skills and are intended to be open to anybody who is interested. We plan to create a site-specific, community-based piece with participants interested in further engagement.
