Five Kenyon alumni return to campus to share their experiences working in the arts and how they turned their love of art into careers. This program is open to students of all majors and concentrations.

Speaker Bios
Kates Aufses '08
Kate Aufses is Counsel in the Art Law Group of Freedman Normand Friedland LLP, a law firm in New York. Kate practices all aspects of art law, focusing particularly on representing claimants seeking restitution of art misappropriated during the Holocaust. Prior to joining FNF, Kate served as Associate General Counsel to the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the largest municipal funder of the arts in the country. Prior to joining the City government, Kate was a litigator at two New York law firms. Kate holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, two MPhils – in American Literature and History of Art – from Cambridge University, and a BA in English from Kenyon College. Kate is an avid reader and museum-goer, and she lives in Manhattan with her husband and two sons. She currently serves on The Gund's Board of Directors
Jessica Gomez Ferrer '17
Jessica Gomez Ferrer works as a Program Manager at United States Artists (USA) with a focus on developing artist-centered publications, events, and award processes. Prior to joining USA, she worked in schools and nonprofits around Chicago to develop and teach writing curriculum for K-12 students. Jessica earned a BA in Studio Art and English from Kenyon College. She is also a Chicago-based artist and writer. Her practice untangles feelings of betweenness and rejoins them into sites of familial beauty and remembrance across a range of media, including books, textiles, ceramics, and animation.
Sabrina Parker Greene '18
Sabrina Parker Greene graduated from Kenyon College in 2018 with a degree in English, a concentration in Creative Writing, and a minor in Art History. After attempting to pursue an editorial career in the publishing industry, she landed a job at The Met in the Development Department, where she has now worked for four years. She is currently a grant writer on the Foundation and Government Giving team within that department.
Fritz Horstman '01
Fritz Horstman is an artist, curator, educator, and author based in Bethany, Connecticut. As the Education Director at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, he has curated exhibitions across Europe and the United States, including “Anni Albers: In Thread and On Paper” recently at the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, TX. He has lectured and given workshops at Yale University, Harvard University, l’École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Lebanese American University in Beirut, The Royal Academy of Art in London, and many other institutions. His recent book “Interacting with Color: A Practical Guide to Josef Albers’s Color Experiments” was published by Yale Press in 2024. He is represented by Planthouse in New York and by Municipal Bonds in San Francisco.
Greg Nosan '90
Greg Nosan spent over two decades working in art museums, from small academic ones to large civic ones—most recently as Vice President of Publishing and Interpretation at The Art Institute of Chicago. He currently serves on The Gund's Board of Directors.
